About News · editorial policy & privacy

Purpose

News is a free educational project for reading current affairs in English. Each reported story is independently written at six levels, from A1 to C2. It is not a substitute for the linked original sources.

How we work

Stories are based on attributed, linked sources. We distinguish verified facts, relevant views and uncertainty; we do not give unsupported claims equal weight. Language is adapted for learners without deliberately changing the facts. Dates refer to the edition, and stories may later be corrected.

The Debate

Debate speakers and portraits are fictional. Their arguments are an educational reconstruction based on the cited evidence, not real interviews or statements. Their dialogue may simplify complex disagreements.

Corrections & limits

Despite care, reporting, translation and level adaptation can contain errors or become outdated. Check the cited sources for consequential decisions. Please report corrections to the site owner through the channel where this site was shared with you.

Privacy

No account, advertising cookies, third-party analytics or visitor profiles are used. Your reading level and colour theme are saved only in your browser so your choices persist. The public page-view total stores only a number, not IP addresses or individual browsing histories. The server still processes connection data to deliver the site and maintain security. You can clear saved preferences in your browser settings.
